About Bishop’s Fencing and Outdoor Products
In 1954, the late Willard (Bill) Bishop, along with his brother, Robert, began as Bishop Brothers Logging in Kulpsville, PA. A few years later the business expanded to include a sawmill which produced hardwood lumber for local industries and the surrounding farm community.
In 1970, the partnership between Willard & Robert was dissolved. Willard continued the business by himself and in 1972, Willard and his son Michael became partners in the business and moved from Kulpsville to the current location at Schoolhouse & Nice Roads in Souderton, PA. The name was then changed to Bishop Wood Products. Several years later, Mike’s son Michael joined the partnership.
The pallet manufacturing began along with the addition of building materials, fencing, mulch and related items. These products were offered to builders and the retail trade. In 1979, the business became incorporated and additional product lines were added to better serve our retail(DIY), industrial landscape and industrial customers.
Today, Bishop Wood Products, Inc. continues to refine our product mix to better serve our customer base while still continuing with our core products of lumber, landscape supplies, fencing & industrial wood products. Our services include fence, deck, and railing installations. We also offer home delivery of all our products with prompt and courteous service.

The New Bishop’s Fencing and Outdoor Products
The Year 2011 brought a few changes to Bishop Wood Products, Inc. As our product lines increased and we began dealing in more than just wood products, we saw a need to change our name to more accurately reflect our business. While our corporate name remains the same, we now operate as Bishop’s Fencing and Outdoor Products. We’re still the same family owned company but now we’re able to serve you with a larger and better product line.
This new name better reflects our current product lines, which have evolved over the years to include more items than just wood products. For example, fencing now is made with various types of materials, (wood, PVC, aluminum, composites). In addition to these new materials, we will continue to carry the same products which you have been purchasing from us in the past.
Fencing, sheds, pressure treated lumber, construction lumber, composite decking, deck and porch railings, mulch, top soil just to name a few. We’ll continue to have quality and licensed installers, installing our fences, decks, shed pads and railing products.
